Terms of Service

Last updated: 19 August 2026

These terms form an agreement between you and 4Shaw Production Pty Ltd T/A OneBill (trading as OneBill) ("we", "us"), the provider of the connected OneBill business management and intelligence platform (the "Service").

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, subscribing, or continuing to use the Service you agree to these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business. If you use it as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age.

2. The Service

OneBill is cloud software for sales, money, accounting, people, stock, operations, tasks, assisted migrations and evidence-aware business intelligence. Optional integrations may connect payment, e-commerce, website analytics and other providers. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within the plan you have selected.

3. Your account

  • You must provide accurate registration and business details and keep them updated.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the invoices, client data and financial records you create.
  • You must only invite accountants, staff and advisers who are authorised to access the relevant business workspace.

4. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to issue fraudulent or misleading documents;
  • send spam or unsolicited bulk email through the Service;
  • infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of any person;
  • interfere with the security or integrity of the Service, including uploading malware, probing or scanning, circumventing limits, or scraping data;
  • reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the Service.

5. Intellectual property

We retain all ownership of the Service, its software, documentation and branding. You retain ownership of the content and data you upload; you grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to provide the Service to you.

6. Service level

We work to keep the Service available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The Service does not constitute accounting, tax or legal advice; you remain responsible for your submissions to SARS and other authorities.

AI, integrations and testing features

AI-assisted extraction and explanations may be incomplete or inaccurate and require your review. OneBill does not replace professional accounting, tax, legal or financial advice. You remain responsible for decisions, filings, payments and information submitted to third parties.

Third-party integrations depend on the provider and may change or become unavailable. You are responsible for obtaining permission to connect an account and may disconnect it. Features marked testing, preview or beta are provided for evaluation and may not be suitable for production use.

7. Payment and subscriptions

Subscriptions are billed at the price shown on our pricing page, in advance, and renew automatically until cancelled. Payment, billing, tax, invoicing, cancellation and refund mechanics are handled by our reseller and are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. See our Refund Policy for how to request a refund.

8. Reseller / Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access where there is a material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may cancel at any time. On termination you may export your data for a reasonable period, after which we may delete it in line with our Privacy Notice.

Data exports and closure

You can request or use available exports while your account is active. After cancellation or closure, access and retention follow the Privacy Notice and applicable legal obligations. Disconnecting an external service does not automatically remove records previously imported into OneBill.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where such exclusion is unlawful.

You indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these terms.

This product-alignment update should be reviewed by independent South African legal counsel.

11. General

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and its courts have jurisdiction. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. We may update these terms and will post the revised version here.
